Quorum Business Park chooses Europanel

The new Quorum development in the North East of England is one of the UK's leading business parks, with 15 buildings completed to date with a floor space of over 900,000 sq ft it is the largest speculative office development outside of London.

Europanel, Eurobond’s premium architectural panel system, has been specified for use throughout the business park and was employed as part of the envelope design for a majority of the buildings on site. One of the key objectives of the park was to provide sustainable working environments in terms of BREEAM and energy performance. This meant that Europanel, with it's high levels of building performance combined with aesthetic finish ideal for high profile buildings was an easy choice for the park.

Eurobond blends the benefits of rainscreen and panel construction

The new Rainspan ArGeTon terracotta architectural facade system is the culmination of joint development between Eurobond Laminates and Telling Architectural. The design freedom provided by ArGeTon's facade system is perfectly complemented by Rainspan's proven 'life-of-the-building' performance to offer a building solution that matches fast track construction techniques with the architectural excellence demanded from modern building envelopes. In addition to its aesthetics, the system provides a cost-effective solution, is fast to install, easy to integrate and fully guaranteed

The Rainspan system is fully tested and has been developed as a robust, interlocking, insulated panel, with long firerated spans and an ease of installation that creates a quick, weathertight building envelope. This is the perfect structural support for the Telling Architectural ArGeTon facade. The system blends together the benefits of a composite panel and a rainscreen application to provide greater freedom for architectural expression. The panel is finished with an external flat profile creating an ‘inplane’ surface to receive the facade carrier.

The system has been put through its paces both in terms of weather and air tightness testing to Centre for Window and Cladding Technology [CWCT] standards and the rigorous performance requirements of BS476 Part 22 fire resistance test. On both counts the Rainspan ArGeTon system passed and achieved excellent CWCT results with an impressive two hours fire resistance.

Simon Thomas Eurobond Managing Director said “We are very excited about this new addition to our portfolio of Rainspan Panel systems. The launch has been made possible by working closely with our partners Telling Architectural, UK licence holders for the sale of ArGeTon®. We hope this collaborative approach will provide building owners, specifiers and installers with the assurance that the system as a whole will continue to perform, for the design life of the building”
